Independent Medical Opinion

Opinion

Based on review of the records identified below and a structured clinical interview, it is my opinion, expressed to a reasonable degree of medical certainty, that the claimant's diagnosed condition is at least as likely as not (a probability of 50 percent or greater) related to events documented during active service.

Rationale

The service treatment records document the in-service event on 04 Mar 2011 and the initial reported symptoms in the following weeks. Post-service treatment records show continuity of symptoms consistent with the in-service documentation, and the clinical interview elicited a symptom picture that meets the specified diagnostic criteria. Alternative etiologies were considered and are addressed below.

We write favorable opinions when the clinical evidence supports them. If it does not, we tell you before you pay for a full report. That is what the free record screening is for, and it is why our reports hold up.
